How to naturally look beautiful - New Year Fashion Goals

 NEW YEAR FASHION GOALS

Hey there, Fashion lovers!

It’s a new year and I hope you’ve been following up on your new year resolutions (that’s if you made any, by the way).

I sure have got something up my sleeves for you to kick-start the year with and trust me when I say it’s a juicy one to start the year with. Although quite lengthy but it would be worth your while if you follow (read) through till the end.

This one is tagged “New Year Fashion Goals” and I’m sure you would enjoy it.

Let’s go!

#1. Adopt a night routine

The first thing you want to make as a part of your goal for the new year is to adopt a night routine and to make things easier, I have some suggestions for you;

#Take care of your lips

Bid scruffy and dry lips goodbye. All you need is a lip balm or shea butter, and just so you know, anything that keeps your lips hydrated and moisturized is a good option.

#Pay attention to your face

To eliminate the occurrence of pimples and acne, first, you should wash your face with a soap and water; In worse cases, use water or wipes only. The aim is to ensure that all oily residue on your face is off.

While some prefer to use night cream, I don't subscribe to that just so I don’t stain my pillow case, but if it works for you, it’s fine.

#Pay attention to your brows and lashes

Raise your hands (in the comment section below) if you have ever had to go to bed without washing off your make-up. It is unhealthy so do well to always wash it off, most especially, your mascara and eyebrows, in case you had a mild make up during the day.

Also, there are many recipes and ingredients that can be applied to these hair areas just before sleeping to enhance the growth of the hair e.g. Honey, Vaseline (blue seal) etc.

#Protect your hair with a net or bonnet

This is one of those routines we don’t follow through with as ladies but let’s change things this year. The oil in your hairdo can stain your pillowcase which will end up rubbing on your bare face hence leading to acne and pimples.

Although the bonnet is fashionable, it also serves a purpose; by protecting your hair plus, some other added benefits too. So, it is healthy to secure your hair before sleeping.

I’ve got lot of tips in store for you and we’ll get to discuss this in our other blog posts, just stay tuned.

#2. Pay more attention to your finger and toe nails

A battle I’m currently fighting (lol). The few times I had my finger and toe nails prepped were period of bliss for me and for this new year, I vowed to keep them in this condition and continue maintaining them properly.

#3. Enhance your natural look, embrace the no-make up challenge

Let's do more natural look this new year, we shouldn't keep using those make up products everyday – leave make up products for days you really need to wear them. On a serious note, these products shouldn't be applied too often, as it is even more difficult to identify the fake ones from the genuine ones, especially for unprofessional make up users.

Moreover, it is a bad idea to leave your face in a mess while trying to cover that mess up with make-up every day. You should be able to grace some events without these products and here are some tips to help:

#Take care of your natural hair brow and lashes

Shave your brows to an attractive shape that will make you look good. Take care of your lashes too so that they will become naturally long, attractive and curvy

#Get rid of pimples and acne

Acne and pimples aren’t a death sentence. They are as a result of pubertal transformation into adulthood. While some go away on their own, others are quite stubborn to deal with.

However, there are several ways to ger rid of pimples easily especially if there is a breakout. The easiest of them being the water therapy: the first thing you should do when you wake up in the morning is to wash your face with water and when you sleep at night, repeat same procedure, but with a lukewarm water. Also, honey works well. Just find a routine that works well for you and stick to it.

#4. Dress up quicky in the morning

This sure sounds weird but I am certain some of us get stressed out in the morning while trying to pick what to wear, that we end up spending too much time than expected but here are some tips to help curb that;

You can simply begin to plan your outfit the night before better yet, plan your complete wears outfits on Sunday evening. This helps you in being more organized.

You can go as far as writing down each combination you wish to try for the new week and paste it somewhere you can easily have access to.

Another good tip is to have a wardrobe audit beforehand as this process itself is aimed at making your morning ‘dress up’ easier every day.

With this in place, you shouldn't spend up to 10minutes wearing your clothes in the morning and see how your early morning fashion routine becomes easier in this new year.

#5. Wear outfits that make you feel more confident

Self-confidence is a super-power so it's essential to be aware of what you wear. Trade those clothing that don't cause you to feel better for those ones that will leave you feeling more certain.

It's smarter to have less and extraordinary outfits than huge loads of garments that you don't feel incredible in. sometimes, less is more.

In as much as you may not agree to this, it still remains a fact that the way you dress has a way of pumping your confidence level. In all sincerity, your confidence level sometimes determines how good and productive your day will be.

There are many facts to prove that your clothing is connected to your social acceptance. For what it’s worth, I specially advise that you put on something that won't make you feel less of yourself at any point in time.

#6. Learn how to dress for your body shape, no matter your size

January sales are in full swing and my best piece of advice is; even if you want to shed some weight, treat yourself to a few nice garments in your existing size to make you feel good. Boosting your Confidence will help you lose weight.

It is important that you know your body shape because you get to accentuate your best parts by drawing massive attention to them. These and other advantages are what you will gain from dressing according to your shape. Learn more about body shapes here.

#7. Set up a realistic monthly budget for your “fashion image”

Do you need to spend a fortune to look stylish? Of course not! Luxury doesn't necessarily define what fashion and style is, but self-awareness and body fit.

Instead of spending fortunes chasing trends and luxurious items you can barely afford, why not switch to a method that makes you look stylish and fashionable even on a low budget – cut your coat according to your size.

You can look beautiful and sophisticated even on a very low and tight budget, all you need is to be properly informed and of course I have tips on how you can do that. Read it here.

#8. Get Re-Fitted for a Bra

A great deal of time, that secretive back torment you have going on can be credited to an ill fitting bra. Also, your garments probably won't be fitting you just as they ought to, and an ineffectively estimated bra can be the culprit.

Finding the privileged estimated bra is significant. I was wearing some unacceptable size for quite a long time and I felt that the band fouling up or the lashes not getting tight enough were simply ordinary pieces of wearing a bra.

Bra measurement is something that you can't completely comprehend until you've discovered the ideal fitting bra. At this point, it's difficult to return!

Purchasing an entirely different arrangement of bras in the correct size can be scary and costly. Thus, the reason this can be a year-long objective for you.

First, start with a couple of new bras in the correct size, afterwards gradually develop your assortment while eliminating old bras as you can bear the cost of it. A positive development is better than nothing.

Finally! You made it through till the end and I’m glad you did. It was a long ride but what does it matter? Don’t keep me in the dark: let me know, “what do you think?” What are your fashion goals for the new year? Which goal will be the biggest challenge?

Don’t be so tight-fisted not to share them with me, let me know in the comment section below!

I’m waiting!
