Salt is one vital user ingredient for washing–it removes stains from clothes and maintains the fabric material's elasticity.

Here are some steps to wash your jeans using salt as the main ingredient;

  • Fill water in a bucket. Add one teaspoon of salt and soak the new jeans in it
  • Leave for one hour
  • Take out the jean and was in the washing machine or hand
  • Do not scrub the fabric or it will start loosening.

Steps to revamp your jean (making faded jeans black again)

Use the steps below to make your faded jean black again;

1. Add 3 mugs of water to a boiler pan

2. Add 5-7 spoons of salt

3. Pour into a bathtub

4. Ensure you use an old bucket preferably, in case the bucket loses its inner color so you won't feel bad about it

5. Add a little regular water to increase its temperature

6. Add a black dye and mix with a wooden stick preferably

7. Dip the Jean little by little inside water so that the dye will touch all the parts of the fabrics

8. Use your wooden stick to dip and stir, avoid putting your bare hand inside

9. Leave for 30 minutes

10. With a glove, take out your jean and hang it

11. Hang it on a hanger and leave it to dry overnight or until it is dry

12. Wash with clean water and detergent to avoid any remnant color getting to your skin once it is dry

13. Add 2 lids of vinegar, and leave it for 2 hours, it will enable it not to fade faster

14. Wash one last time with water

15. Ready to wear.

There it is. If you follow the steps above, your jean will not fade sooner than expected plus, there won’t be a need to change them frequently.

Till later,

Ciao!
